The Most Useful Classroom Management Book

Too much of my first year of teaching involved reinventing the wheel. Before the Internet and the genius of Google, information about class management came from either your coworkers or the blazing fire of learning while on the job. In a effort to learn the easiest ways to manage classes, and maintain my sanity, I browsed a few titles. When I found Positive Discipline I finally found a few strategies that made sense. This book is what helped me determine the layout of my classroom, the power of proximity and helped me refine my strategy for what I call "outside the door conversations."
