About Us

Jill Sitnick -
In 1995 I graduated from The College of New Jersey. After conducting my student teaching experience in a suburban Philadelphia school district, I was invited back to interview for a position. Since then I taught English at the high school for 10 years. After receiving my graduate degree in Instructional Technology from Philadelphia University, I began working in the technology department of my school district.

In this capacity I assist teachers with technology and took the lead in writing the Classrooms for the Future grant from which the district received over $850,000. This funding opportunity allowed the district to equip the high school with interactive whiteboards, ceiling mounted projectors and a number of laptop carts.

At the beginning of each school year, I participate in the new teacher induction program. While I primarily focus on the technology needs of the group, each year I throw in some classroom management strategies. This year, I was asked to specifically cover a variety of techniques and concepts. Since then I have been asked to work with interim teachers who are in especially tough management situations.

While teaching and working with technology, I pursued my interest in adult learning theory. Working with Bob Randall Associates/Gratz College, I brought the first Microsoft Office for Teachers graduate computer class to the Bucks County area. It was gratifying helping computer novices become comfortable with technology!

Carl Grecco -
I have worked in education at the high school level for 48 years. I retired from teaching in 1998 after 36 years in the classroom. While teaching I also wrote curricula for Sociology, Psychology and A.P. US History. I also mentored over 20 student teachers.

Additionally, since retirement, I continued to coach the high school's Speech and Debate team. In that capacity I am a member of the coaches' Hall of Fame in Pennsylvania.

I have also presented a number of workshops for new teachers on classroom management and worked as a consultant for John's Hopkins University in the Center for the Socialization of Schools (CSOS).

In the many years I have been involved in secondary education, I became increasingly concerned about the lack of preparation for new teachers in a number of areas that require attention and lead to a successful career. It is with that concern that I worked on this DVD with Jill. I know you will find what we present important and applicable to your classroom setting.
